Dear grandma,
I am dedicating this to you and your story. You grew up in really difficult and hard circumstances; you did what you could with what you had. I hope you are somewhere more peaceful now, and you can finally rest. I also hope that you can see what mum did to break free of the cycles of trauma, the decisions she made to choose a different path for me and her. I know in my heart that I am breaking the chains of abuse our family has endured for too long.
