My older brother, Michael, was brought up in a single parent household in 1952 macho working class Hartlepool. This is definitely down to my amazing nana, Evelyn, who kept the whole family together.
She was born Evelyn Blogg, to a working class family on Hartlepool Headland. She kept all the family together during the WW11 & wouldn’t let them be evacuated.
When my brother was born, he was also brought up at home, not given up for adoption. I’m still the only person I know in the whole of the
