Dot Friend
While in an abusive relationship my children and I went to stay with "Aunty" Dot, a family friend. During our stay she spoke of a friend, in her 70s, who was going out to Africa to become a missionary. It amazed me that somebody 'so old' could do something new, that they'd never done before - I was early 30s, writing myself off, thinking this was my lot. But I moved on, my thinking changed - I'll soon be 70, am happily married, and love new challenges!
